Practice management built by a family-based immigration attorney
I created Papeles for my own family-based immigration practice. I needed one system that would streamline the three things a family-based immigration law practice depends on most: the client consultation, case preparation, and the financial statements that show how the practice is doing.
The goal was to make Papeles as simple as possible, so that clients, staff and attorneys always have a clear view of their work. I designed a condensed layout that captures the whole picture on a single page, because energy and focus are a law practice's most limited resources. The most important details of a case should be visible at once, not spread across many screens.
Fields in Papeles are condensed and grouped to avoid time wasted scrolling through long web forms. It eliminates clicking through separate pages just to enter data: a consultation, a family history or an address history is entered where you can see it all. Information entered once can be copied to a relative's record or a shared address instead of being typed again.
The same idea applies to the business side of a practice. A single cash flow statement shows, on one page, what the firm received for each form in each month of the year, with totals and each form's share of income.
Papeles is built from the ground up and maintained by one central owner. Security updates, layout changes and responses to customers come from one place, without various branches of support to go through. When you write to Papeles, you reach the person who built it.
